A quick update for those eagerly awaiting the BackerKit survey: It's is still set for launch early next week pending Kickstarter's go-ahead and BK's review of what I've set up.

A lot of backers, many of whom are new to Infinium Game Studio's products, have asked about discounts for existing, published IGS products.  I'm happy to report that I've included all of that in the BK survey

It's entirely optional of course, and up to you, but for those interested in more of our stuff, it's certainly the cheapest way to go.

I'll post another update once the BackerKit surveys have been sent.

IGS State of the Nation Q1 2020: Our 5-Year Anniversary, Production Status, Pipeline Status, Giveaways, and Much More

Apologies for the delay; typically I've been trying to publish a "state of the nation" sort of update at least once a quarter.  Today's Q1 2020 update is long overdue!

I actually have a duet of updates for everyone.

IGS State of the Nation

First, there's the actual State of the Nation for Q1 2020.  If you're only interested in finding out how things stand and where we'll be, check this out.  Spoiler alert: I'm behind schedule.  But, I'm producing at a rate unparalleled in our history: since late spring, we've been pumping out 600-1200 pages of content each and every month like clockwork.  (That's a good thing.)

IGS' 5-Year Anniversary

If you can believe it, Infinium Game Studio turns 5 years old this week: February 27th, 2015 is when I started writing what would become Dark Obelisk: Berinncorte.

I've got a lot planned for March to celebrate; if you're curious, check out the IGS 5-Year Anniversary update here.  (Note that all of the promotions etc. planned are things that will in no way distract us from our mission of delivering already-promised content to those awaiting it.)

I accomplished more productively in 2019 than in any other single year of my life, by a myriad of measures.  I certainly did NOT get everything done that I had wanted to do, but what I did end up doing is a heaping ton of work.

There are delays.  There are day job commitments.  Things end up taking more time than I'd planned.

But never for a moment do I lose sight of my mission, or of how lucky I am to be able to do what I love doing most.  I spend literally every single spare moment working on IGS books.  And I don't see that changing any time in the future.

You can consider that, to use one frustrated backer's language, a bunch of "word salad".

But that doesn't make it any less true.

I can't thank you enough.  Nearly 200 backers, and a ton more support than we had bargained for.  Cannot wait to turn this support and confidence into the most useful, versatile, and powerful G/DM tool ever conceived of.

What Comes Next

Kickstarter takes 14 days to process pledges etc., after which point I will be able to trigger BackerKit surveys.  So sit tight and relax until that's over with.

I've gotten a lot of questions about our other books, and the good news is: Yes, you'll be able to grab any and all of them at a discount as part of the BackerKit survey as Add-Ons.  More info when we get closer to that point.

I couldn't be more happy with how things have gone!  Thank you all so much.  

To address a common question, a reminder that you can pledge for as little as $1 now, and adjust your pledge to whatever you desire during BackerKit survey following the campaign.

Also, for those entitled to products that are now, or are in the process of being, published (e.g., FTEG Core v1.0 for nearly everyone, and Aquilae: Bestiary of the Realm for the highest-end backers), I plan to fulfill those next month.  I'll confirm the timeline as things wrap up, but I'll launch BackerKit ASAP following the campaign (typically KS requires ~14 days for pledge collection), and make sure I get everyone what they're owed following that as you complete your surveys.

A quick note about the BackerKit process for those who haven't used it before, or for those who want to confirm options:

BackerKit Survey

There will be a BackerKit survey that is sent out by the end of the month following the conclusion of the campaign.  In that survey, you'll be able to pick your options, and you will be able to change your pledge level at that point if you desire.  That's also where you can pick Add-Ons.

And for those who are new to my products, if you're interested

Add-On: Aquilae: Bestiary of the Realm ($180)

Per request and suggestion, I've added this as an option, which you'll be able to pick in BackerKit but you can add to your pledge now if you know you want it.
