Latest Updates from Our Project:

Day One. Wow! First Add-On: Suggest-a-Table
about 4 years ago – Wed, Feb 05, 2020 at 10:26:51 AM

What a first day.  Not even really a full first day; more like HALF a day.  We're funded nearly three times over already.

I'm thrilled to see such an outpour of support for a concept so close to my heart!  Thank you all.

First Add-On: Suggest-a-Table

I've updated the campaign description to include the following Add-On:

Suggest a Table: $50. You'll tell me what sort of FlexContent table you'd like to see, and I'll design and author it.  Drinking habits of NPCs?  Venereal diseases acquired as part of being in the royal harem?  Edible fungi with side effects?  You name it, I'll bring my creativity to make it happen.

New Pledge Level: Student / Active Military
about 4 years ago – Wed, Feb 05, 2020 at 10:26:47 AM

I'm super excited at all of the interest in this ambitious project!  Thanks to the dozens of folks that have made is more than 5x funded after barely a day and a half!

New Pledge Level: Student / Active Military

One of the other Kickstarters that I recently backed included a pledge option that I hadn't seen before: a "low-income" pledge option for those with limited capabilities, who still want to participate.  I love the concept, and over the years, I've talked with many backers in those circumstances.

So, I do want to offer that as an option.  It's not dirt-cheap, unfortunately, but I want to balance the desire to include everyone, against the value that's on offer here, and the investment that many FTEG owners and KS backers have already given.  Hopefully the discount will allow hard-working folks who might not otherwise be able to participate to do so.

I started playing D&D in middle school, and if Kickstarter and FlexTale had been a thing back then (or even the Internet, heh), I would have been furious that I couldn't participate.  Maybe this option will help.

Fantastic Progress!
about 4 years ago – Wed, Feb 05, 2020 at 10:25:53 AM

Just wanted to check in with everyone to thank you all for your support and enthusiasm around this concept.  It's already succeeded beyond my hopes, and as always, I'm thrilled that there's such support for something I'm passionate about.  Thank you!

Suggest-a-Table Clarification

The Suggest a Table add-on allows you to dictate that a new table is added to the mix.  You get to determine the table, and which component book (Traps, Monsters, etc.) you'd like it to appear in.

Any and all new tables forged as a result of Suggest a Table add-ons will automatically be added to the FTEG v2.0 Core book as well.  I don't think that was at all clear in the existing description in the campaign.

BUT... this does not mean that just because you don't have an extra crisp $50 bill lying around on your coffee table, that you should be shy about suggestions.  Some of the coolest, proudest things in the dozens of books I've created have arisen from casual backer suggestions and ideas.

So basically, if you have a good idea, there's nothing keeping you from sharing your idea... whether you formally want to Suggest a Table or not!  :)

A la Carte Book Selection

For those of you who have picked a pledge option that gives you a choice of which FTEG component book, you don't have to pick now--you'll be able to make your selection via BackerKit survey following the conclusion of the KS campaign.

Multiple-Book A la Carte Clarification

For those who have chosen the A la Carte Component Book(s) pledge option, who want more than one book, you can add the extra $15 per book now, and increase your KS pledge, or you can add that amount in BackerKit.  Whatever your preference is!
